Inspired from a concept car that was presented at a recent SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new 2012 Mazda3 Special Edition is making its debut at the Montreal International Auto Show. A total of 700 units will hit the market early this year.

Based on the Mazda3 GX, this exclusive model features carbon fibre-style trim on the roof and mirror caps. There are also carbon fibre-like accents inside the cockpit. These striking elements contrast with the body colour to give the car a unique look.

The Mazda3 Special Edition with a 5-speed manual transmission will start at $18,990. Add an extra $1,200 for the 5-speed autobox.

Visitors of the Montreal Auto Show, currently open to the public until January 22nd, can take a closer look at the 2012 Mazda3 Special Edition along with Mazda's entire lineup of vehicles, including the 2013 Mazda CX-5.
